Koeppel has worked in Europe on environmental projects including the redesign of Hanover, Germany''s Transportation System prior to the Expo 2000 World''s Fair.
Kowalski, a native of Poland, has worked on projects including the New Media School in France and the New Student Center at Columbia University




Visitors will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences, pay their respects and offer words of compassion, wisdom and support. The monument is constructed from 184 glass monolithic elements. They are distributed on a footprint 370-feet long and 20-feet wide. The monoliths stand of an island of granite in a reflective pool. The monoliths allow enough space in between for cool air to be drawn from below. This will allow condensation to accumulate on the lower portion of the monoliths and create visual layering effects. A visitor just has to touch the surface of the glass to leave an impression. The names of the victims who died in the Pentagon attack will be etched into the top half of the monoliths.


本人比较喜欢该设计,特别是别具一格的通风和冷凝,可以在玻璃上产生水雾和水珠,仿佛连他们也在为遇难者哭泣!!!

空间作的很有特点,但是怎么样引人入胜,让人沉思不得而知。
玻璃上怎么样能产生水凝的状态,希望andy同学能够解释一下。

从底部往上吹冷风,和上面的热空气接触,发生冷凝,我觉得着是它唯一的闪光点,其他比较一般,也看不出它的平面构成的原理是什么!
